Overview
- SFT Technology’s Whole Body Radiation Contamination Monitor, SPM-9600, is designed to monitor body contamination caused by handling radioactive materials.
- SPM-9600 is designed for installation at nuclear power plants and other radiation handling facilities, or at the boundaries of buildings and areas where radiation exposure is expected, enabling measurement of surface radioactive contamination of individuals entering or exiting the area.
- Equipped with 25 large-area gas-flow proportional counter detectors, SPM-9600 can measure whole-body contamination in a two-step process. This reduces waiting time for personnel, allowing fast and efficient workplace operation while improving radiation safety reliability through minimum MDA based on high detection efficiency.
- The 25 detectors are designed for easy replacement of aluminum-coated films, and their standardized size provides economical spare parts management.
- Through the LCD touch screen and keyboard, contaminated areas can be graphically displayed while supporting system diagnostics, configuration, status monitoring, and data inquiry. The adoption of a fanless industrial PC and SSD improves maintenance convenience, operating environment comfort, and data reliability.
- The system is designed with four access doors, allowing easy internal access for maintenance and improving service convenience for administrators.
- Stainless steel construction allows easy decontamination of the exterior while enhancing equipment durability.
- Equipped with wheels for mobility and adjustable supports for secure positioning.

Operation
- Entrance barrier control automatically recognizes users through approach sensors and allows entry only in Ready status
- Exit slide door automatically opens when contamination is not detected and ADR data transmission is completed
- When contamination is detected, the automatic door closes and the entrance barrier opens
- In emergencies such as fire, the entrance barrier and exit slide door can be manually opened
- Automatic background measurement in Ready status
